      A-372: 17 Jan. 1784, Edward Ward of town of Pittsburgh in Westmoreland Co. PA for 55 lbs paid by David Duncan & "Mayjor" John "Findley" of same place, sell to said David Duncan and Major John Finley as tennants in common and not as joint tennants, land on Southeastern bank of River Allegania joining the Kingsfield lott claimed by William Evins and a peace of ground and improvement made by Mr. Joseph Spear decd. to include all that piece of ground cleared and improved by Alexander Ross known as Ross's field, 20 acres (MAD: more description not copied).       2-550: 18 June 1796. That Pennsylvania by letters patent 15 July 1790 granted to Samuel Duncan land called Turkey Hill, on south side Conemaugh River in Westmoreland Co. on bank of said river adj. Campbell's claim, 246 acres and 109 perches, recorded in Patent Book 15, pg.315, now said Samuel Duncan and wife Ann for 277 lbs. 7 sh. 10 pence equal to $739.71 PA money, paid by Nicholas Chapman of Westmoreland Co.       8-523: 27 Oct. 1809, John Craig of Buffaloe Twp., Armstrong Co. PA, for $1 to Robert Duncan of Derry Twp., Westmoreland Co. PA, and other valuable considerations, land in Derry Twp., 100 acres including an improvement on a larger run emptying into the Conemaugh River adj. lands of William Patton and others, surveyed upon a warrant dated 7 July 1788, that in or about 1789 a deed was executed by me to John Hanna which by sundry means became vested in David Duncan the father of the present grantee, which conveyances have been lost.       25-318: 25 Jan. 1840; Samuel Shannon of Fairfield Twp., Westmoreland Co. PA, died intestate leaving issue 8 children: Jean intermarried with Edward Hase, Sarah (+) intermarried with Charles (+) Duncan, Mary Elizabeth intermarried with James Dawson, Ann intermarried with Henry Nitz, and John, Samuel, and William; said Samuel owned land; they sold to Charles Duncan their right to the estate, now Charles Duncan and wife Sarah and Henry Nitz and wife Ann for $695 deed same to Samuel and William Shannon.       33-329: 8 Dec. 1851, Biddy Donnelly, widow of John Donnally, late of Derry Twp., Westmoreland Co. PA, deeds her house and 20 acres of land to Hugh Duncan of Wilmington, DE, subject to her life occupancy and support and payment of her husband's debts.       43-221: That Timothy Jaynes late of Derry Twp., Westmoreland Co. PA, by will empowered John Ebert and William Jaynes his execs. to have 110 acres and 138 perches appraised and his children to have the right to accept it per the will; on 9 June 1851 appraisal by James McClarren Jr., Andrew Long, and James H. Trimble appraised it at $13 per acre and it was accepted by John Jaynes, and that the will left the proceeds of the land to his sons William and Samuel and his daughters Sarah, Jane, Isabella and Rebecca, receipt by heirs, 30 Aug. 1853.       47-317: 5 Dec. 1857, James Duncan of Loyalhanna Twp., Westmoreland Co. PA, and wife Jane, to Joseph Simons of same, $132, 10 acres adj. other land of James Duncan of which this is a part, lands of "Vincin" Carson, lands of John Morgan, being a patent to James Duncan the Elder 22 March 1837, recorded Patent Book H, vol.37 page 107; that the said James Duncan "Sr." died owning, descended to his legal heirs, said James the present grantor is one, the other heirs by deed 6 March 1845 deeded their interest to James Duncan; now James Duncan and wife Jane deed ...
