Branch, and Ginney's Branch, plus all Negroes and other property I have
already given him. ; Daughter WINEFRED COCKE - all property I have already
given her. ; Wife WINIFRED ALSTON - Negroes Tom, David, Old Penny, Lucey,
Philis, Squire, Penny, and Easter, half my funriture, horse, etc., for her
lifetime with reversion to my children WILLIAM ALSTON, THOMAS W. ALSTON,

In the Name of God Amen. I Stephen Marshall of the County of Warren
and State of North Carolina being of Sound Mind and Memory knowing the uncertainty of life and certainty of death, do make ordain and establish this my last Will and Testament annulling and revoking all others heretofore by me Made.-
1st ; ; I give Lewis and my Silver Watch to James Honey Hays Son of John Hays Dec'd._
2nd ; ; I give Sally and her child Alfred and her future increase to Mary Crossland daughter of Alexander Crossland should she die before she becomes of age or Marry then it is my wish they Should go to her Brother William Crossland._
3rd ; ; I give Billy to Beverly Cibbles eldest Son whose name I don't recollect. Should he die before he becomes of age or Marry then it is my wish he Should go to the next eldest Brother, but it is my wish that my Executors who I shall hereafter name hire out Billy in the neighboorhood as long as his wife lives and the proceedes arrising therefrom to be paid over to Said Cibbles eldest Son as above named._
4th ; ; I give Betty to my Brother Samuel Marshall and after his death to his Son Josiah Marshall._
5th ; ; I give Maria and her two children Lucy & Nancy and her future increase to Aane Doolings children the wife of Amos Dooling._
6th ; ; I give Lucy Crossland the first choice of my Beds._

The residue of my property consisting of Land Household and kitchen furniture Stock of horses. Sheep & Cattle and hogs plantation utensils is to be Sold on a credit of twelve Months and the proceeds arrising therefrom after paying my just debts to be equally divided between My Nephews Josiah Marshall, Samuel Marshall, Hardy Marshall, Mark Marshall and Stephen Marshall the Sons of Samuel Marshall._
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my friend Alfred Alston and Thos. Bragg Senior of this my Last Will and Testament given under my hand and Seal this the 22nd of March in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty two._

A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Stephen
Marshall dec'd was exhibited in open court for probate and the execution thereof being proved by the Oaths of Saml T. Alston and Edward Alston the subscribing Witnesses thereto and on motion it was ordered to be recorded_ Where upon Thomas Bragg one of the Executors therein named, came into court and qualified as such in due form of Law and took upon himself the burthen of the Execution of the Same.
