John Boyd produced a certificate dated 2 mo, 10, 1736, for himself, wife Jane and
children, from Ballynacree Monthly Meeting of Friends near Ballymoney, CountyAntrim
Province of Ulster, Ireland, to New Garden Monthly Meeting, Chester county, Pa 12 mo,
26, 1736-7. They became members of Sadsbury Meeting. At Warrington Monthly Meeting,
York county, Pa 11 mo, 9, 1765, a certificate dated 8 mo, 21, 1765, from Sadsbury
Monthly Meeting was received for John Boyd and wife. John Boyd, of Warrington
township, York county made his will Aug. 8, 1770 and it was probated Oct 31, 1777. He
mentions seven Children,

 1. William, who receives 5 pounds
 2. Samuel, who receives 5 pounds
 3. George, who receives 30 pounds
 4.  Sarah Leech, who receives 30 pounds
 5. Ann Bready, who receives 5 shillings
 6. Elizabeth Stedham, who receives 1 shilling
 7.  Jane McMillan, who receives 30 pounds, and 2 pounds to buy her gown, together
     with my bed and furniture.

 He also mentions his granddaughter, Jane Marsh, to whom he leaves 30 shillings. Jane
Boyd was disowned by Sadsbury Monthly Meeting in 1765, for a disorderly marriage with
Gravenor Marsh son of Henry. Was she a daughter of William or Samuel Boyd?

1. William Boyd, then unmarried, produced a certificate, dated 6 mo, 18, 1733,
"from men's meeting held in Antrim, in ye North of Ireland." to New Garden Meeting, Pa.,
6 mo, 27, 1737. He became a member of Sadsbury Meeting. He married Hannah Minshall,
widow, in 9 mo, or 10 mo, 1737. He is complained  of 6 mo, 27, 1749 by Sadsbury
Meeting for marriage out by a priest. He produces an acknowledgment, 11 mo, 6, 1752. At
Sadsbury Monthly Meeting 3 mo, 4, 1754 a certificate is signed for William Boyd and
Daughter to Warrington Monthly Meeting. This certificate was received by Warrington, 4
mo, 20, 1754. At Warrington 5 mo, 8. 1762 a certificate was requested for William and
three children to Hopewell Monthly Meeting, Va. It was signed 1 mo, 8, 1763.

2. Samuel Boyd produced a certificate dated 5 mo, 8, 1741 from Grange Monthly
Meeting, Ireland, to Sadsbury Monthly Meeting, Pa., 10 mo, 6, 1742. He is reported
married out of priest, 5 mo, 4, 1743, and is disowned 8 mo, 3, 1743.

3.  George Boyd produced a certificate dated 10 mo, 22,1760, from Warrington Monthly
Meeting, and seems to have been a member of Newberry Meeting. George Boyd of
Warrington township, York county, made his will Sept. 17, 1796, and it was probated Oct.
22, 1796. His executors were Thomas Leech and John McMillan. He Mentions his wife
Catherine and children, James, Ann, Jane, and Rachel. Of these children Ann was received
into membership by Warrington Monthly Meeting, 1 mo, 7, 1792  She was complained of 5
mo, 12, 1798 for marriage out to ---- Jones. She sent acknowledgment. From her cousin
James McMillian's Bible we learn that Ann Jones, daughter of George and Catherine Boyd
died Sept. 9, 1830

 4. Sarah Boyd married 2 mo, 17, 1739 at Sadsbury Meeting, Thomas Leech, son of
Richard and Sarah (Cox). They removed to Warrington, York county, Pa.
7. Jane Boyd was born, as her son James McMillan records in his Bible, in 1728; died 5
mo, 12, 1782; buried at Warrington Friends' graveyard. She was complained of     7 mo, 5,
1748, by Sadsbury Monthly Meeting for marriage out to Joseph Green. She produced
acknowledgment 12 mo, 3, 1753. Jane Green, widow of Joseph Green, of Sadsbury,
married 5 mo, 4,1756 at Sadsbury Meeting, John McMillian, of Warrington township, York
county, son of Thomas and Deborah (Marsh). He was born 1728, in Antrim county, Ireland,
died 9 mo, 17, 1791; buried beside his first wife Jane.

By her first husband, Joseph Green, Jane Boyd , had two children -(1) Joseph and (2)
John. These two were received into membership by Warrington Monthly Meeting 8 mo, 11,
1764. (1) Joseph Green, of Warrington, son of Joseph, deceased, m. 12 mo, 16, 1773, at
Warrington, Lydia Holland daughter of Henry and Lydia (Fell) of same place.
