44 yrs, d. and her funeral was Monday.
Elizabeth Boyd Johnston, mother
of Sarah (above), d. Monday. Mrs. Boyd was
b. in Co. Armagh Ireland in
1815, her parents came to this country in 1821 &
settled in Albany NY where
her father was a merchant. From Albany they
moved to Livingston Co. &
in 1839 they moved to Logan Co. OH. On Nov 2,
1839 she mar. Rev. J. B. Johnston,
D. D. then pastor of Northwood
congregation. In 1858,
Rev. Johnston became pastor of U.P. Ch. in St
Clairsville. Funeral
on Thurs. Nov 22. Sons, Mr. A. S. Johnston, of
Bellefontaine, OH & Dr.
David Johnston, survive.
