PETITION OF LIZZIE BOYD, WIDOW OF 
W. L. E. BOYD  COWETA CO; GA 


 


To The Honorable Court of Ordinary of Said County:
The Petition of LIZZIE BOYD shows that she is the widow of W.L.E. BOYD late of said County deceased, who departed this life intestate on the ___ day of January 1891, leaving surviving him your petitious and Eight Minor Children: LENA, WILLIE, MATTIE, BELLE, ROBERT, THOMAS, JESSIE MAY and LIZZIE, aged respectively eighteen, sixteen, fourteen, twelve, ten, eight, six and four. That there is no representation on the estate of said deceased. That she desires to have support and assigned to herself and his said children in property or money, a sufficently from the estate of said deceased for the support and maintenous of herself and his said children, for the space of twelve months from the date of the death of said W.L.E. BOYD.

Wherefor Petitious prays that five descreet persons be appointed for the purpose of setting apart and assigning a years support and a sufficent amount of household furniture to herself and said minor children.

It appearing to the Court that LIZZIE BOYD the widow of W.L.E. BOYD late of said County dec'd has applied for the appointment of appraisers to set apart to her and the eight minor children of said dec'd and mentioned in foregoing petition, a years support or property or money out of estate of said dec'd and a sufficent amount of household and kitchen furniture for her and said minors and it further appearing that there is no administrator on said estate It is therefore ordered that R. T. Carpentis, R. Brown, E.B. Jackson, T. B. Chancellor & J. H. Fry be and they are hereby appointed appraisers to appraise and set apart to said Lizzie Boyd and his said eight minor children out of the estate of said W.L.E. Boyd, deceased a twelve months support from the date of the death of said dec'd and a sufficent amount of the household furniture for their use. And a warrant is ordered to issue sections of the law directed to said appraisers.

WARRANT TO APPRAISERS TO SET APART 12 MONTHS SUPPORT
GEORGIA, COWETA COUNTY
BY W.H. PERSONS ORDINARY OF SAID COUNTY.

To R.T. Carpenter, R.A. Brown, E.B. Jackson, F.B. Chandler, J.H. Fry

You or a majority of you, are directed to set apart and assign to Lizzie Boyd, eight minor children either in property or money, a sufficency from the estate of W.L.E. Boyd, deceased, for their support and maintenance for the space of twelve months from the date of this application to be estimated according to the circumstances and standing of the family previous to the death of deceased, keeping in view also the solvency of the estate.

You are also directed to set apart for the use of said family a sufficent amount of the household furniture of said estate. Provided, that the amount so set apart for the family shall in no event be less than the sum of one hundred dollars; and if it shall appear upon a just appraisement of the estate, that it does not exceed in value the sum of five hundred dollars, it shall be your duty to set apart the whole of said estate for the support and maintenance of the family of said deceased. And make due return of your actings and doings in the premises and a schedule of the property so set apart by you, under your hands and seals, to me within thirty days from this date, together with this warrant.

GEORGIA, COWETA COUNTY
To the Honorable Court of Ordinary of said County:

We, the undersigned, appointed by the Honorable the Ordinary of said County of Coweta to assess and set apart a sum necessary for the support and maintenance of the widow and minor children of W.L.E. Boyd, deceased for the space of twelve months, do report,that we have assessed and set apart the cash and other property as follows, which the said widow has selected to take, to wit: We have not found any property or money of the Estate of W.L.E. Boyd to set aside a years' support for his widow and minor children.

And we also set apart the following Household and kitchen furniture for the use of said widow and children. We set aside all the household and kitchen furniture now in possession of W.L.E. Boyd's widow and minor children for twelve months support of said widow & minor children.

In Testimony Whereof, we have hereto set our hands and seals, this
26th day of February 1892.
